Our most frequent questions from clients
SUPER CLEAN! You will be amazed at how clean your carpets are after the cleaning. Based on my experience with past customers, side effects may include a “no-shoes” policy, fresh smells, and a desire to vacuum more frequently.
Water is a chemical, so anyone promising “chemical free” is misleading you. The chemicals I use are very safe, ranging from 1-2 on the NFPA 704 Health Diamond. Humans and pets need to stay off carpet during cleaning, but after extraction and rinsing, the carpets are completely safe. Urine removal and heavy stain removal uses harsher chemicals, but after rinsing they are completely safe. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all materials used are available upon request. I clean my own family’s carpet with the exact same chemicals and methods that I use in your home!
This is the most frequently asked question. You can walk on the carpet as soon as I am finished, HOWEVER, you do need to be cautious. The bottoms of your feet will be damp, so when you walk from carpet to tile you could slip! Also, the damp carpets are more susceptible to contaminants like dirt and hair, so I recommend completely avoiding it for 1-2 hours.
4-6 hours is my rule of thumb, HOWEVER, you can not put furniture with metal or wooden feet on the carpet for 12 hours. If you moved items off the carpet before we arrive, leave it off until the next day so that residual moisture does not pull the wood stain out of your furniture’s feet or leave rust on the carpet. Any furniture we move will have Plastic pads or styrofoam blocks under them to protect the carpets.
